Bigston Information Technologies Announces New Software Releases, Simplified Pricing Plan
ELK GROVE VILLAGE, ILLINOIS-May 1, 2006 -- Responding to changing customer needs, Bigston Information Technologies (www.bigston-it.com), a subsidiary of Bigston Corporation (www.bigston.com), released new versions of its three software packages and introduced a simplified pricing program. The three products may be licensed as a coordinated suite or individually. Bigston-IT's new releases allow for a wider variety of customer configurations, increased systems flexibility and ease of installation of its software packages for complex manufacturing processes. The new systems, along with the simplified pricing program, will result in overall price reductions for many customers. "These new releases further extend the ease of use and flexibility of the Bigston-IT products for our customers," said Norman Plummer, president Bigston Information Technologies. "Our new versions support a greater variety of client applications and reduce the need for customization." Plummer went on to say, "We also recognize that a growing number of clients use server clusters and grids and we have adjusted our pricing accordingly, further enhancing the significant value of our systems." The Bigston-IT systems utilize web-based technologies with in-process bar coding to deliver critical information to the production floor while capturing timely information about the production process. The systems can be configured to interact directly with production equipment for manufacturing execution system (MES) or computer integrated manufacturing (CIM) applications.
